This is our Song

Standard
Whenever I put Blyf to sleep, this is the song that always comes out of my vocal chords. I think because sub-consciously these are the words written in my heart, and I want her to remember them when she grows up. The sentiments of a mother remains the same all through the years, and since the future is for our children to discover for themselves what we always wish for them to realize is that whatever the distance, time and place, our hopes for them would always be what’s best for them. Nothing compares the happiness brought by knowing that our children are living the lives they wanted and are fulfilling their dreams. Success? I cannot define that for Blyf, only she knows what it is that would make her successful when she decides to do what would make her happy and fulfilled.
Here goes my song for her and I pray when she grows up she could sing this better than I do… 🙂
Thank you Eraserheads for this song…
With a Smile   Here’s the video
Lift your head, baby, don’t be scared
Of the things that could go wrong along the way
You’ll get by with a smile
You can’t win at everything but you can try.Baby, you don’t have to worry
‘Coz there ain’t no need to hurry
No one ever said that there’s an easy way
When they’re closing all their doors
And they don’t want you anymore
This sounds funny but I’ll say it anyway.

Girl I’ll stay through the bad times
Even if I have to fetch you everyday
I’ll get by if you smile
You can never be too happy in this life.

In a world where everybody
Hates a happy ending story
It’s a wonder love can make the world go round
And don’t let it bring you down
And turn your face into a frown
You’ll get along with a little prayer and a song.

(Too doo doo…)
Let me hear you sing it
(Too doo doo…)

In a world where everybody
Hates a happy ending story
It’s a wonder love can make the world go round
But don’t let it bring you down
And turn your face into a frown
You’ll get along with a little prayer and a song.

Lift your head, baby, don’t be scared
Of the things that could go wrong along the way
You’ll get by with a smile
Now it’s time to kiss away those tears goodbye

(Too doo doo…)
Let me hear you sing it
(Too doo doo…)
